According to the Applevis team, how do you do a beta test correctly?

Apple Beta Releases

Hello friends and editorial team, I hope everyone is well.

First of all, I would like to apologize if I posted this topic in the wrong forum, because I was in doubt whether I should post in the beta software forum or in the general forum.

I would like to request a kind of guide to perform, in the best possible way, the tests with Apple beta software. I want information, if any, in addition to using the software on a daily basis. I want to know if there are additional steps, things we should always do to identify common problems, among other tips, especially in order to contribute with bug reports.

I hope it is possible to fulfill this request. I look forward to the results.

See you soon! Big hug to everyone!

Share Your Bug Reports with AppleVis

If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.

If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.

In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.

All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

I do like this idea, and I do think there is something in the bug reporting section of the site but, really, I think the mods have enough on their hands sifting through our messages and, I'm not sure they will have any greater experience than many of the contributers when it comes to designing testing protocols.

Maybe it could be a project for the community instead?
